How a Carnivore Lifestyle Change My Mind, My Gut, and My Body.
I started the carnivore diet out of desperation - years of dealing with SIBO, IBS, and leaky gut left me
exhausted, inflamed, and mentally foggy. I had tried everything, but nothing worked... until I stripped my diet down to just the essentials: meat, animal fats, and salt.
And that's when everything changed.
The Benefits I Experienced
- Gut healing - No more bloating, gas, or discomfort. My digestion is finally normal.
- Morning energy - I now wake up energized, clear-headed, and ready to tackle the day.
- Stronger workouts - I've crushed new PRs and recover faster than ever.
- Mental clarity - Brain fog is gone. I feel focused, calm, and driven.
- Less inflammation - Joints feel better, skin is clearer, and I move with ease.
- More stable mood - No more blood sugar crashes or emotional highs and lows.
Why It Works
The carnivore diet eliminates plant toxins, gut irritants, seed oils, and processed junk - and replaces them with the most nutrient-dense food on Earth: animal products.
Contrary to what we've been told, meat is more nutritious than vegetables in almost every way.
Just a few examples:
- Beef liver blows all plant superfoods out of the water - it's packed with retinol (true vitamin A), B12, iron, zinc, and copper in forms your body can actually absorb.
- Steak has more bioavailable iron and zinc than spinach, without the oxalates that block absorption.
- Egg yolks contain choline, biotin, and DHA - nutrients essential for brain health that are hard to get from plants.
- Collagen and glycine from slow-cooked meats and bone broth support gut lining repair, joints, skin, and detox.
Plants
Plants may contain vitamins, but often in forms your body can't absorb well - and they're packaged with anti-nutrients like oxalates, lectins, and phytates, which can do more harm than good for sensitive guts like mine.
The Bottom Line
The carnivore diet gave me my life back. It healed my gut, sharpened my mind, and made me physically stronger. It reminded me that simple, natural food heals, especially when it comes from animals raised the way nature intended. Im noting saying I will eat this way forever or should anyone it is very individual. I think there is room for fruit and honey in diets but not when serious healing is needed.
If you're stuck in your health, tired of guessing, or dealing with gut issues that won't go away - this way of eating might be your reset too.
Eat simply. Heal deeply. Live wildly.
